The LAPFCU Brewer Branch is a 1,780-square-foot interior renovation delivered for the Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union in Los Angeles, California. Established in 1936, LAPFCU has served the financial needs of Los Angeles law enforcement professionals and their families for nearly a century. The Brewer Branch represents one of the credit union’s neighborhood locations, supporting its long-standing mission of member-focused service while adapting to evolving banking technologies and operational models.
Completed between January 17, 2024 and August 14, 2024, the project modernized the existing branch to enhance member experience, operational efficiency, and long-term flexibility within a compact footprint. The renovation reinforces LAPFCU’s commitment to maintaining community-based service centers while upgrading infrastructure and spatial organization to meet contemporary financial service standards.
The scope included a comprehensive tenant improvement of the branch area, IT/Electrical room, staff lounge, conference room, and ATM room. RACAIA began with detailed field verification and measurement of the existing branch, accessible path of travel, parking, and restrooms due to limited record documentation. Accurate AutoCAD backgrounds were developed to establish reliable base drawings prior to design.
RACAIA provided full architectural services from schematic design through construction observation, developing revised space plans, detailed documentation, and coordinated finish and furniture selections. Engineering coordination addressed HVAC capacity, electrical distribution, plumbing reconfiguration, structural adjustments, and Title 24 compliance to ensure integrated system performance.
Delivered within an occupied headquarters setting, the renovation demonstrates RACAIA’s ability to execute complex, phased financial facility upgrades with technical precision and operational continuity.
