Refined wealth management environment while preserving the architectural integrity of the historic structure
The scope included the creation of a new lobby and client reception area, conference room, manager and market leader offices, open workstations, staff room, and upgraded men’s and women’s restrooms. A comprehensive building evaluation preceded design to assess existing conditions and ensure compatibility with updated program requirements.
RACAIA conducted field verification of ADA compliance, accessible path of travel, existing restrooms, and parking, and prepared CADD documentation demonstrating compliance with current building codes. The project required coordination with the City of Pasadena Historic Commission and the California Office of Historic Preservation, incorporating Design and Peer Review processes to ensure all interventions respected the building’s historic character.

The Bank of the West – Pasadena Main Wealth Management project is a 4,199-square-foot tenant improvement located within a 1920s-era historic building in Pasadena, California. The renovation modernized the ground floor (approximately 3,800 square feet) and a portion of the basement (approximately 399 square feet), transforming the space into a refined wealth management environment while preserving the architectural integrity of the historic structure.
