Based on months of cross-business research and marketing coordination, RACAIA Architecture & Interior provided Bank of the West with an updated design strategy that took into account the Bank of the West’s updated vision statement, updated graphics and new marketing campaign. Alongside a series of partners, we worked with Bank of the West to develop this “De Novo” design in order to provide a pilot space and kick off a new series of projects designed within the “De Novo” theme, integrating the circular space plan, kiosks, glass offices and other, more open and inviting environmental features.

The renovation of both the interior and exterior of the building entailed approximately 4,000 square feet and cost approximately $1.2 million all inclusive.

Bank of the West/BNP Paribas Private Banking Suite in Old Town Pasadena, CA

In accordance with the requirements of the Bank of the West’s Wealth Management Division, RACAIA designed and completely renovated the historical Pasadena Main Private Banking Suite for Bank of the West/BNP Paribas, which was completed in 2012. The renovation was highlit by the inclusion of artisans and artists, who were brought in specifically to re-detail the historical design and return it to its former splendor.

The suite’s interior consists of approximately 1,500 square feet and cost approximately $1 million all inclusive, with roughly $700,000 in construction costs.

Pasadena, CA 2012

In 2012, Caltech commissioned the design and drawings for a pergola, outdoor garden and secure bicycle storage structure on the Caltech campus. RACAIA’s goal was to take this previously empty site and visually tie two parts of campus together with a relaxed, outdoor environment, as well as develop a space for student gardening projects as years go by.

The conceptual design for a skyrise concept, developed by Richard A. Chavira, AIA in 2010. This concept was based on previous sketches done for in-office conceptual studies.

RACAIA designed the new San Diego Branch on B Street for Bank of the West to incorporate effortlessly into Downtown San Diego’s urban atmosphere. Approximately 4,000 square feet, whole design elements were custom fabricated to specificity, based on an RACAIA conceptual design.

Working in conjunction with the Hillstone Restaurant Group, RACAIA designed a new enclosure and seating area for the existing restaurant space that included custom-design and fabricated windows, lighting and booths, as well as custom patio furniture and layout.

Gulfstream Restaurant Renovation and Redesign

RACAIA’s redesign of the Gulfstream Restaurant in Newport Beach, CA involved the complete interior renovation and modernization the seating area, oyster bar, serving line, and spirit bar area. Warm colors and tones were used throughout, in accordance to Hillstone Restaurant Group’s discerning design standards.

A 1,500 square foot building addition to an affordable housing community center, AIMCO and Affordable Housing Access, Inc. asked that RACAIA provide a warm and creative learning space that complimented the surrounding community at the affordable housing complex in Santa Ana, CA.
